VideographerDoane University Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications (OSMC) seeks a videographer passionate about storytelling - a videographer who can see the larger, more impactful story within an assignment.
The videographer is responsible for all aspects of video production - pre-production planning, shooting, audio recording, studio lighting, environmental lighting, scheduling, post-production, color correction, and distribution.
The successful candidate will be a strong self-starter curious about how stories from the latest branded video series (think Yeti Presents, Patagonia, Callaway Golf Lives, and many others) are told and produced.
The videographer will be just as proficient with and passionate about short-form as they are with long-form video storytelling.
This position will bring concepts to life by being comfortable working with a small footprint, mirrorless production, and also helping concept and execute national high-production commercial shoots independently or with outside partners.
The videographer will also help coordinate and produce live streams from an on-campus studio environment.
This position will work with other members of the OSMC team and on-campus resources to plan and assist in constructing studio sets to meet the needs of numerous campus partners.
This position will also be hands-on in the development and education of Doane Brand Ambassadors (current students) to help in video production and to empower Ambassadors to create video content to help fill content gaps.
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Required for Position:
Strong video editing skills in software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.
Impressive past video work and reelExperience in creating long and short-form video contentProven ability to operate and manage a small-footprint, mirrorless video production teamFamiliarity with selecting appropriate video format and codecs for different video projects to create efficiencies in capture and editing and outputting the highest quality video to meet project requirementsExperience with producing high-quality live stream video contentStrong storytelling and content marketing skillsAttention to detailSuperior communication and leadership skillsStrong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure, handling multiple projects and tight deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environmentA self-starter that is solutions-oriented and resourcefulEducation/Training Required for Position:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
