Financial Analyst
MAJOR JOB
Responsibilities:
Support of Controller, Plant Manager and plant operating committee with analysis, reporting, and decision support
Support of commercial teams for price analysis, new deals, and forecasting
Business and operational reporting and analysis for Power Transmission Group (PTG)
Financial support of the Continental Business System (Continuous Improvement) for Lincoln plant
Plant expense forecasting and analysis
Internal control oversight; ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
Inventory analysis and support of annual physicals
Financial analysis for lease/buy, capital requests, new product development and new business opportunities
Monthly close process, which includes responsibility for accurate, efficient, and timely finalization of journal entries and accruals related to Freight & Warehouse expenses, and to provide monthly variance analysis and narrative reviews.
Prepare annual budgets & monthly rolling forecasts.
Collaborate with all parties to develop savings initiatives, and establish process improvements (both physical & systematic).
Additional ad hoc analysis projects as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
3 5 years' experience in Accounting
Manufacturing experience
Logistics / Global Supply Chain experience
Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.
Must have a high level of proficiency in MS Office products, specifically Excel
Position may require some travel, both domestic and international.
