Construction Manager

National Construction Workforce (NCW) is currently looking for a Construction Manager in the Lincoln area.
POSITION
Summary:

Responsible for the direction and performance of all field operations on Construction Management (CM) projects to ensure the work is performed in conformance with the project objectives and requirements. Principal areas of responsibility are safety, cost, schedule, construction operations, quality, staffing, material control, field-based procurement, labor relations, and accounting. Primary day-to-day interface with on-site client and trade contractor personnel. Manage, monitor, and control the field project organization and its functions from commencement of the pre-construction phase through completion of the construction phase of projects.



DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain an effective construction safety and security program.
Participate in pre-construction phase services including estimating, scheduling, value engineering and procurement.
Monitor the project fiscal, administrative, personnel, procurement, warehousing, and office services.
Implement and maintain effective management, planning, and cost control systems.
Review, approve and update schedules. Maintains historical information through documentation and/or photographs.
Advise management of developments that may affect project profit, costs, schedules, and client relations.
Identify and evaluate risk that may have an impact on the project.
Maintain effective contingency plans for potential problems concerning labor activity, fire, storms, etc.
Develop construction execution plans and review/approve plans from subcontractors.
Responsible for obtaining all required permits for construction.
Implement and maintain an effective quality control process.
Knowledgeable of Contract terms and conditions and Subcontract terms and conditions.
Administer contracts in accordance with policies and procedures for the maximum benefit of the company.
Provides support and guidance for project personnel.
Establish and maintain communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.
In conjunction with the Project Manager, prepare and issue monthly status reports to keep management informed on construction progress, direct and indirect construction costs and forecasts and other activities that are a part of the work.
Prepare and publish the project completion report including the evaluation of all subcontractors.
Implement and maintain a labor relations program.




SPECIAL SKILLS: Proficient in managing and directing people, communications (both written and verbal), negotiation skills, computer skills with Microsoft Office products and corporate standards.


Qualifications: College degree and/or equivalent experience.
5 years minimum Bio/Pharmaceutical experience required
5
years experience on similar projects.
Demonstrated success in managing the construction process on projects.
Advanced management training
