Under general direction, coordinate and assist with implementation of the State Asbestos Control Program, Lead-Based Paint Program, Radon Program and Indoor Air Program; perform on-site inspections; perform audits of training providers to ensure compliance; perform records reviews of industry businesses; provide reviews of licensure applications; provide technical information and outreach upon request; perform complaint investigations; and perform related work as required.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:Coursework/training in industrial hygiene, architecture, engineering or biological sciences including building systems, and computers. Must be licensed or capable of being licensed as an EPA asbestos supervisor and inspector/management planner, as an EPA lead-based paint supervisor and/or risk assessor, and as a radon measurement and/or radon mitigation specialist. Must be able to pass EPA Worker Protection medical examination, including pulmonary function testing, chest x-ray and being declared by a physician to be capable to work and wear a respirator. Ability to communicate effectively. Computer experience required including Microsoft Office Software. Must have a valid driver''s license or ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
PREFERRED: Bachelor''s degree in public administration or health sciences. Experience in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
OTHER: Valid driver''s license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
