Manufacturing Engineer (2)

Job Juncture
Directs and coordinates manufacturing processes in plant: Develops and improves manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
Work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and plant layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Interface with planning and design staff regarding product design and tooling to ensure efficient methods.
Develop and work with vendors for product specifications and acquisition. Evaluate products according to specifications.
Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and costs necessary for management decisions.
Interface with management, engineering, and additional departments to determine manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and production processes.
SPC to plan for future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Support in continuous improvement activities and implementation of Lean Manufacturing activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or
Experience:
4 yr degree in Industrial or Business Management or Engineering.
Three year minimum manufacturing experience
Demonstrated Project Management skills
Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing expertise
Team Leadership Experience
Capabilities
Strong organization skills
Commits to extended hours required to reach goals
