One of Manpower premier clients and top producers of rubber and plastic products has an immediate opening for an assistant shift supervisor. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing front line leadership and direction. The supervisor mentors, and supports Leads, Technicians, Material Handlers, and production associates.
Responsibilities Include
Responsible and accountable for shift output performance
Provides guidance, training, support, and direction to direct reports to achieve desire results.
Ensures Production Associates are assigned to appropriate work areas, assignments and/or machines based on skills, knowledge, abilities, flexibility, degree of training and limitations to maximize utilization of shift team members.
Communicates and addresses shift issues, to improve manufacturing variances
Ensure shift leads understand and meet facility related goals for Quality, Cost, and Delivery, Safety and their own team objectives.
Lead by example by complying with all company safety and housekeeping policies, rules and regulations
Qualifications/Requirements include
High School diploma required: Bachelors degree in Operations/Engineering or Business preferred
Must have minimum of 5 years plastic injection molding experience; minimum of 2-5 years in a supervisory or lead capacity
Injection molding equipment and auxiliary equipment operation knowledge
Willing to work weekends and overtime when required
