The Supplier Performance Engineer leads supply base in the Supplier Excellence
program toward world class Quality, Delivery and Cost. Develops and maintains
relationships with suppliers to ensure we are receiving requires quality products and
competitive quotes in support of company vision for growth. Participate in the
company initiative to expand the supply base globally.
Reports to: Manager, Supply Chain Optimization
Travel: Approximately 15-25%
Education and/or
Experience:
Expected: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and two
years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Preferred: Previous quality engineering and/or purchasing experience in a
manufacturing environment to include raw material, stamping, fabrications and
assembly of detail components. Low cost country supply chain experience. Blue
print reading and dimensional layout experience.
Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English
language. Bilingual preferred. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations
and engineering prints. Must communicate clearly with suppliers in written and
verbal means.
Other Skills: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety
of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
Ability to work independently. Customer and supplier relation skills.

- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Programs and Windows Operating Systems.
