Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Tech Lead, this position performs maintenance operations at the Lincoln, NE location.
The maintenance technician is responsible for facility maintenance including troubleshooting, adjusting, and replacing AC and DC electrical equipment, repairing and maintaining facility equipment, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing mechanical components, performing preventative maintenance inspections of plant equipment, and welding equipment.
The wage range starts at $23-25 per hour and goes up based on knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment such as controls, proximity sensors, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, and timers.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace pneumatic equipment such as hydronic and hydraulic seals, high pressure components, air compressors, pumps, hoses, and cylinders.
Performs preventative maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, water heaters, water pumps, heat exchangers, evaporators, fans and powered industrial equipment.
Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage and electrical wiring repairs.
Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures Understand and use computer software for documenting all daily activity including submitting accurate parts requests.
Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
Adherence to the facility's Document Control Policy following completion of training.
Electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, and fabrication of light processing equipment lines.
Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance for electric and propane forklift warehouse equipment.
Light plumbing and refrigeration skills are a plus but not required.
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Apply advanced skills in the use of hand tools both powered and manual.
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as drill press Operate maintenance vehicles including but not limited to, aerial lifts, personnel transport vehicles, and forklifts.
Independently perform mechanical maintenance, repair, installation, and testing functions on all but the most sophisticated equipment.
Flexibility with work schedule and job duties when the location environment changes.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (speak, read, and write).
Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize and perform position responsibilities accurately and to deadline.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 3 years' Maintenance experience (preferably) in Food Manufacturing.
Experience/knowledge of OSHA and other governmental regulations; incident and accident prevention required.
Computer skills:
Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word skills are a plus.
Basic math skills:
include fractions, decimals, percentages, and the metric system.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to withstand wet & cold/refrigerated environments (around 35 degrees F) for 8-10 hours a day.
Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
