This position provides support to relative/kinship traditional foster care families in the Northern Service Area.

Examples of Work As a Foster Care Resource Developer - Placement & Licensing worker, you will:
oReview foster parent license applications by utilizing the Nebraska foster care regulations and ensuring compliance with all requirements.
This includes making licensing determinations such as approvals, denials, suspensions and revocations of foster care licenses.
oEnsuring all licensed foster care homes are in compliance with Federal Title IV-E regulations.
oWork closely with various foster care agencies in the State of Nebraska including problem solving, working towards foster care licensure for relative and kinship foster homes and working together to serve foster children.
oPay close attention to detail ensuring audit documentation is completed, all documents are scanned into the foster parent file, compiling adoption packets and completing and reviewing background checks for foster care applicants.
oWork closely with various teams within the State of NE to ensure compliance with all regulations.
Provide support to Foster Care Resource Development team members whose job duties include locating foster care placement for children, providing support to relative and kinship foster homes and supporting DHHS traditionally licensed foster homes.
Be able to navigate various technology platforms including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce, Webex and NFOCUS.
Training will be provided.
oLead and facilitate meetings with case team members to assess and plan supports for any foster parent concerns.
oSupport DHHS case managers in locating foster care placement and potential family members to provide foster care placement for children needing out of home placement after business hours.
On call duties are on a rotating basis.
oEnjoy the ability to work independently within your team, be adaptable and driven.
Providing support to relative, kinship, DHHS Licensed homes including monthly in person contact with foster families assigned on your caseload.
Consults with providers to identify methods and practices to meet the customers needs.
Consults and coordinates with Economic Assistance Staff Qualifications / Requirements REQUIREMENTS:
Post high school coursework/training in social work, sociology, counseling, guidance, psychology, child development or related field and experience in resource development, eligibility determination or contract monitoring within a public service organization.
OR Bachelor's degree in any of the fields listed above.
PREFERRED:
Previous Child and Family Services experience in Resource Development; or as either an ongoing or initial assessment worker.
Knowledge of NFOCUS, Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience working with child placing agencies.
Preferred experience in case management, interviewing skills, community referral for services, report writing, home studies.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
OTHER:
Valid driver's license and the ability to drive for work-related purposes.
