2200 North 33rd Street-Lincoln, NebraskaExamples of Work Duties will include planning and maintenance of all park landscape including:
flower beds, small ponds, fountains, tree and shrub plantings, butterfly gardens, and other landscape features.
This will include the purchase of materials, weeding, planting, renovations, chemical use, and other related activities.
Operating power tools such as:
chainsaw, riding mower, push mower, edger, string trimmer and blower.
Qualifications / Requirements No specific experience or education is required for this class.
PREFERRED:
Minimum one year experience working as professional groundskeeper or landscape installer.
OTHER:
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license for work-related travel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the operation of various types of equipment associated with grounds maintenance.
Ability to operate and maintain hand and powered tools and equipment, to transport tools and equipment from storage area to work site.
Ability to work outside and lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout an 8 to 10 hour work shift.
Temporary employees who work a minimum of 20 hours per week and are placed in an assignment at least six months or longer are eligible to participate in employee benefit programs including:
