59 PM CentralDescription Under administrative direction, oversees the coordination, planning, initiation, and completion of strategic projects primarily related to the implementation and educational campaign surrounding requirements of Voter Identification during the voting process.
This is accomplished by interacting and coordinating with existing team members comprised of subject matter experts from various divisions of the Secretary of State's Office including the Deputy Secretary of State for Communications.
This position will also interact with outside consultants and vendors hired during various portions of the project as well as external stakeholders such as media, voter rights organizations, and voters.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the project life cycle by developing, implementing, and or revising project scope, budget, and schedule of completion.
Coordinates the work of vendors hired onto the project and performs related work as assigned.
May include management of other projects as determined by the Deputy Secretary of State for Elections.
Examples of Work - Manage and lead the project process for an education campaign from RFP through the 2024 election cycle.
- Act as the main point of contact for designated projects, providing consultancy and expertise throughout the course of the project- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan for each stage of the project- Lead project meetings on a regular basis with internal and external stakeholders as necessary, producing agendas and follow-up call notes for distribution to stakeholders- Ensure projects remain on track and that all tasks are completed by their respective deadlines- Identify issues that could delay any potential part of the project; understand and pre-empt potential risks and mitigate unexpected issues that arise- Deliver on all details of the project, coordinating with various department stakeholders as appropriate- Actively participate in internal project meetings to discuss project statuses, problem resolutions, stakeholder feedback, and coordination of internal resources- Conduct post-project meeting with stakeholders after the 2024 Primary Election- Maintain a favorable and collaborative working relationship with team members in all departments and all stakeholders to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect- Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks- Drive standards and best practices whenever possible- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services performed- Prepare project status reports, exhibits, communications, and procedures as required- Monitor and audit new election processes and systems following the completion of the project to identify issues and to ensure uniformity is maintained.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Voter Identification for Elections.
- Other duties, projects and alternate assignments as determined by the Deputy Secretary of State- Work with Election Division Team Members to conduct needs assessments and instructional analysis- Prepare training plans used to educate poll workers, including comprehensive timelines and related instructional documentation as appropriate- Consults with senior staff and vendor partner(s), as needed, to confirm program objectives, operational procedures and program constraints.

) Qualifications / Requirements REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4 year institution- 5
years experience in Project Management, Business Administration, Account Management, PREFERRED:
- Election Administration or related field; client-facing travel/project management/client management experience preferred- Experience creating Gantt charts or similar project management timelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong project management and analytical skills; manage workflow to meet deadlines- Travel is expected to be around 25%,within the State of Nebraska ; willingness and ability to travel to locations throughout the State; overnight travel may be required as each election gets closer.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
