Location:
Lincoln - hybrid remote work may be available after successful completion of original probation Examples of Work The Ryan White Insurance Coordinator will serve as the subject matter expert for to provide oversight for insurance claims, policy selection, and enrollment for the Ryan White Part B Program.
This position is also responsible for assisting with the development of grant activities and leading implementation to assure all program goals and objectives are met.
As the Coordinator you will:
1.
Monitor all existing insurance enrollments to detect ineligible clients, terminate policies, and billing changes that could lead to policy termination;2.
Assess the Nebraska Health Insurance marketplace to determine the cost-effectiveness of insurance plans at least annually;3.
Provide guidance on subrecipient monitoring and insurance requirements; Review subrecipient and contractor invoices and perform compliance testing to ensure compliance and mitigate risk of future and repeat audit findings;.
4.
Assist the Ryan White Part B program with processing both client medical claims and provider invoices.
5.
Conduct audits and site visits and prepare reports Qualifications / Requirements REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences, health sciences, public health, education, law or related field OR experience in the development of operational policies and procedures, performing quality assurance analysis/evaluation of programs; grant writing, contract management, or leading community based health/social care groups.
Related coursework, training and/or education may substitute for the Bachelor's degree on a year-for year basis.
PREFERRED:
Experience working with insurance selections and processing of medical claims.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience working in the insurance industry or experience working alongside the insurance industry such as in a medical provider's administrative office.
Working with insurance enrollments, billing, and membership reconciliation is especially valuable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Word, Outlook, Excel; experience with virtual meeting platforms like Zoom, for example.
Ability to comprehend and follow complex and technical procedures and to communicate effectively.
Ability to apply knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare.
