Responsibilities:
Team management:
Managing and supervising a team of janitorial staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
Cleaning operations:
Ensuring that all cleaning activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
Inventory and supply management:
Monitoring and managing janitorial supplies, equipment, and resources to ensure availability and efficient use.
Budget management:
Assisting in developing and managing the janitorial department budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Quality control and inspections:
Conducting regular inspections and quality control measures to maintain high cleaning standards and address any issues promptly.
Safety and compliance:
Ensuring janitorial staff follow safety protocols, use appropriate equipment and chemicals, and comply with health and safety regulations.
Client and stakeholder communication:
Collaborating with clients, facility managers, and other stakeholders to address concerns, provide updates, and deliver high-quality customer service.
Vendor management:
Liaising with suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of services and supplies.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in janitorial or custodial management is typically required.
This includes experience in supervising janitorial staff, managing operations, and ensuring quality control.
Leadership and organizational skills:
Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and manage a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and standards:
Familiarity with various cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals, as well as an understanding of industry standards and best practices.
Communication skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
Problem-solving skills:
Ability to identify and resolve issues related to cleaning, maintenance, staffing, and customer satisfaction.

Knowledge and experience in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
