Senior Accountant
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Corporate Finance Team. The Senior Accountant provides accounting support to the Shared Service Center by way of assisting in the periodic financial closing process. In this role, you will perform tax calculation and deliverables according to Estate/Federal schedules and support year end process by answering tax questions from auditors and completing the A-Questionnaire as per schedule. You will also assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including monthly reconciliation and control of accruals and other adjustments/controls as necessary, as well as, prepare and analyze internal and external financial reports.
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of five years experience in income tax, indirect taxes (e.g. GST, PST, HST)
Computerized accounting and general ledger environment, preferably SAP
Effective oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of computer software to include word processing, spreadsheet applications, accounting and database systems.
Absolute discretion in handling and processing confidential dataEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
