Develop and maintain internal control procedures
Examine accounting records
Prepare financial statements and management reports
Prepare sales tax returns and administer payments
Reconcile bank, credit card and various other accounts to statements
Detailed account entry
Prepare payroll checks and pay taxes
Prepare sales and payroll tax returns
Post vendor bills and prepare checks
Create customer invoices and post subsequent payments
Prepare journal entries
Maintain bank feeds for cloud-based accounting clients
Solve problems and investigate discrepancies
Education
Bachelor's Degree accounting or related business major
Qualifications
QuickBooks certification
Minimum 5 years experience in accounting
Previous public accounting firm experience
Experienced QuickBooks user
Technically proficient in accounting
Skills
Adapts easily to changing deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Great analytical skills
Knowledge of accounting software
Synthesizes information effectively
Ability to work remotely
Have a customer service heart and a willingness to hang in there with clients as they need it
Helpful personality
