Intern - NDT Technician

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is looking for an Intern-NDT Technician (NonDestructive Testing) to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.
GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.
Major Position Responsibilities
Support the NonDestructive Testing department.
Under the supervision of the NDT Level 3 or Level 2 duties would include:
Perform Computed Radiography Inspections
Perform Ultrasonic Inspections (A-Scan & C-Scan)
Perform Penetrant Inspections
Interfacing as required with Engineering, Manufacturing and Production personnel.
Helping to solve manufacturing problems from NDT results.
Other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications
Working towards completion of an Associate Degree in NonDestructive Testing.
Completed Radiation Safety training through an approved curriculum that meets the requirements of the Department of Health and Human Services for the State of Nebraska.
Good work ethic, self-motivated, good people/communication skills, excellent attitude and Team mentality.
Position may be on 1st, 2nd or 3rd Shift.
This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
