Nebraska-Based Endocrinology Telemedicine Locums Opportunity

Telemedicine locums Endocrinology position from the comfort of your own home available for long-term assignment. This will be 2-3 full days per week (seven-hour shifts) to see new consults and establish a plan of care for the APPs in the clinic to follow. You will see new patients and develop a plan of care for the APPs to continue follow up visits. You will either need a compact license or get a Nebraska license (do not need a NE to apply).
Practice details include:

  • This assignment does not include any on call hours, inpatient or after-hours needs.
  • This coverage would begin June 20th and continue until the site is able to recruit a full time physician (roughly 6-12 months).
  • Clinic has technology in place to download meters, pumps and CGM devises, then print and upload data into the medical record for review. Point of care glucose and A1C are available as well.
  • Clinic supports patients 18+
  • Provide oversight and feedback to the on-site APPs; serving as the supervising physician. Someone they can connect with in a non-urgent manner to discuss any issues
  • The clinic has about 65% diabetic patients. Other major Endo management is thyroid patients with a scattering of other Endocrine issues
  • Most all clinic patients are asked to complete their lab work prior to their appointment so results are available for the visit (of course this is dependent on patient compliance). They have lab draw capability in the clinic setting with most standard results returning in the chart the same day
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
