Examples of Work:
As a member of the Medicaid Quality Unit, the Medicaid Quality Analyst will develop quality goals and objectives; supervise quality studies to improve the reliability and validity of data gathered; utilize program data and quality study results to create graphical representations of the analyzed information for agency staff, officials of other organizations, and the public; collect and analyze program data to develop recommendations and corrective action plans; and maintain knowledge of pertinent Federal, State, and industry rules regulations, policies, and procedures in order to review, analyze, and provide comments on proposed legislation.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Post high school coursework/training in program evaluation, financial analysis, and research techniques. AND experience performing or leading others in program and technical support, research, or statistical analysis.
PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in statistics, business, or health management with three or more years' professional experience researching, analyzing, and interpreting regulation and policy documents and designing, conducting, evaluating, and presenting quality studies.
OTHER: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Travel within the state.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of: federal and state laws, policies, program and services pertinent to the programs dealt with; agency policies and procedures pertinent to the collection and analysis of data; legislation, policies, and standards governing the mission and/or programs of the agency; available literature and other resource material pertinent to the program and activities of the agency; the demographic characteristics, such as economic, social, industrial, or occupational, or problems and/or clients dealt with by the agency; mechanical and electronic equipment used in processing data including computer resources. Ability to: analyze, develop and organize material pertaining to program analysis and procedures; develop and assimilate new and creative concepts in the field of program analysis; interpret and apply state and federal laws and standards, and agency rules, policies, and procedures; understand and apply technical narrative material including manuals, handbooks, instructional memorandum and computer printouts; schedule, direct, and review the work of other research and support staff; design and coordinate the implementation of research projects within organizational constraints and resource limitations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
