Job Description: Purpose Statement:
Prepares refrigerators to meet customer needs by modifying, assembling and repairing all refrigerator components and refrigerators. Maintains clean, safe and organized work areas by following all safety policies and procedures
Results Expected:
1. Produces mechanical sub-assemblies and/or final assemblies containing a variety of mechanical components such as purchased, painted, stainless steel, plastic and fiberglass parts by using fixtures, hand tools and power tools.(25%)
2. Produces final assemblies which meet the design specifications by testing, adjusting mechanical devices, and using ingenuity to assemble parts where fixtures are not available, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, oral and written instructions. (25%)
3. Completes refrigerator assembly by soldering and charging the refrigerant systems on newly manufactured and repaired units. (30%)
4. Assists in developing manufacturing procedures by working with the Engineering Department to establish assembly methods.(10%)
5. Assists in achieving the goals of Isco by performing other duties as assigned.(10%)

Vacuum Pump System Oxygen and Acetylene Torch
Refrigerant Charging System Nitrogen Purging System

Job Requirements: Job Specifications:
Requires basic math skills.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand all drawings, written instruction, and inspection equipment required to perform the job.
Demonstrated ability to work safely with solvents, gases, fiberglass, etc.
Requires Technical Certification in Type 1, 2, 3, or 4 under 608 EPA Regulation. Must have on-the-job training of 6-12 months in the refrigeration line area.
Must be able to regularly lift up to 75 pounds.
Special Requirements:
Must provide tools and measuring equipment as required by Isco.
