BASIC FUNCTIONS
Manages the coordination of key components of the Bank's loan servicing operations. Provides subject matter expertise for the
development, review, and recommendations of operational servicing systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversees Mortgage Loan Servicing operations to include the following disciplines: loan research, loan payoffs, modification requests, lien releases, escrow analysis, loan management and oversight of 3rd party sub-servicer, payments/advances, ticklers and overall mortgage loan maintenance activities.
Ensures that department practices comply with bank policies and procedures and regulatory and banking industry standards.
Creates process and procedures relating to loan servicing operations that align with business objectives. Develops necessary tools to educate others.
Effectively manages that a consistent and efficient process is utilized. Defines and implements new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient.
Oversees loan servicing, documentation and servicing standards. Ensures that benchmarks and quality goals are achieved for the loan servicing operations.
Provides oversight on resolution of loan requests or inquiries from customers and/or bank representatives.
Responds to customer inquiries and special loan requests as appropriate.
Monitors monthly and quarterly departmental reporting to ensure accurate and timely completion of staff assignments.
Manages supply, salary, and overtime expenses in support of the operational budget to ensure expenditures are within budget and appropriately authorized.
Develops and maintains an engaged and accountable workforce.
Develops and maintains a fair and equitable working environment.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
5-10 years management experience in a bank environment
Extensive knowledge and understanding of state and federal regulatory requirements, loan documentation and loan compliance of all lending products
Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan operational functions to include, processing, loan disbursement and servicing.
Excellent communication and human relations skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Sound judgment and decision-making ability, and the ability to work in pressure situations
Ability to analyze, interpret and utilize significant data to make sound business decisions
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups
Knowledge of various software packages, including word processing, spreadsheet, email, presentation, and banking systems
Ability to teach or foster development in others
Ability to gain compliance in a fair, equitable, non-punishing fashion
