Description Benefits Supplemental Questions
Interpreter Program Assistant for the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Must be licensed as a Sign Language Interpreter in the State of Nebraska or be able to do so within three months of hire. Statewide travel is required.
Examples of Work:
Interpret for internal meetings for deaf and hard of hearing staff members, board members and non-signers. May also interpret for outside interpreting assignments. Coordinate and approve RID continuing education activities. Manage and administrate the licensing of sign language interpreters and provide information on licensure. Promote mentoring activities and training; may assist with the mentoring activities and training. Serve as the primary investigator of violations related to licensure rules and regulations for sign language interpreters. Presents and develops presentations and/or training activities for community, interested citizen groups and public officials. Obtain feedback on the agency's mission and vision as well as surveying observation of program activities to encourage statewide support, participation and action from community groups and public entities. Advises the agency Executive Director and staff on interpreting topics and impact of such topics. Assist with development of educational and resource lending library materials.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Must be licensed as a sign language interpreter in the State of Nebraska or be able to do within three months of hire. Applicants must have completed an interpreter training program or demonstrate ability to perform the functions of the position. Must have a current and valid driver's license or be able to provide approved independent transportation. Statewide overnight travel is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
