Examples of Work:
Located in a Customer Service Center, this position is the first step to qualify for advancement to a Social Service Worker. In this position you would determine initial eligibility for Medicaid programs. Your day would involve interacting with people of varied socio-economic levels to gather financial and demographic information while developing and maintaining working relationships with customers, coworkers and various community partners. Through this interaction you would assess client situations and make referral for community resources and services; document and verify client information using computer databases; document client contacts; accurately process assigned work within established timelines and prepare correspondence. After successful completion of classroom and on the job training, you will promote to a Social Services Worker and your pay will increase to $15.88/ hr.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: 24 semester hours of post high school education in behavioral sciences, public/business administration, social sciences, education or closely related field OR experience in customer service, determining eligibility for public assistance, examining/processing financial loan applications, medical or unemployment insurance or rehabilitation claims, unemployment services OR a combination of education and experience in any of the above areas.
PREFERRED: Associates or Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences, public/business administration, social sciences, education or closely related field. Medical or unemployment insurance or rehabilitation claims or unemployment services experience. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish. NFOCUS experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Customer focus, eager to learn, good listening skills, trustworthy, timely decision making, priority setting, ability to operate a computer for looking up and keyboarding of customer information utilizing multiple computer applications.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
