Under general supervision enforces rules, regulations and policies and ensures compliance with applicable directives in the day to day security mission of the Air National Guard Base. Functions as a security guard for aircraft and base resources located within the geographical limits of the Air National Guard Base; performs related work as required.
Lincoln Air Base
Examples of Work:
Secures all resources located on the Air National Guard Base. Controls the entry and exit of military and civilian personnel, vehicles, and other equipment onto and off of the Air National Guard Base and controlled or sensitive areas. Patrols buildings and grounds via foot patrol and vehicle patrol within the base area to make security checks of controlled areas and other designated resources and facilities. Operates electrical/mechanical intrusion detection equipment. Conducts searches of institutional property within jurisdictional limitations and in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws, directives and policies. Guards scenes of disasters serving as a leader or member of the response team. Participates in ground defense, disaster functions, and maintenance of small arms. Performs emergency security measures required to secure Air National Guard resources against sabotage or hostile forces in accordance with base plans. Drives patrol vehicles; operates radio and telephone switchboard. Writes security activity and incidence reports as necessary. Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all government equipment and facilities.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: High school education plus experience in military or civilian security or law enforcement.
Other: Regular and reliable attendance. Special Note: Must qualify for a secret security clearance and must be qualified to bear firearms in accordance with United States Air Force regulations. In Addition, all certifications, diplomas and references will be verified prior to job offer and any falsehoods will disqualify the applicant. A valid drivers license or the ability to provide authorized independent transportation is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of: United States Air Force and Nebraska Air National Guard regulations and policies; United States Air Force policy on weapons safety, use of force, and law enforcement practices; wire and radio communication procedures; first aid, fire prevention, safety and human relations; reporting procedures and form format; ground defense and disaster functions; maintenance of small firearms; basic supervisory procedures. Ability to: Bear firearms; respond to and establish control of emergency situations; operate patrol vehicles and equipment; operate intrusion and fire detection systems; use tact and good judgment in daily contact with civilian and military personnel; demonstrate sound judgment in initiating up-channel reporting; demonstrate sound judgment in the use of deadly force under defensive. Skill in: The use of firearms; radio and communication procedures; presenting information to groups and individuals. presenting information to groups and individuals.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
