The Commission on Problem Gambling is seeking an assistant to work with the Director to provide planning, organizing, administering, and monitoring program functions, processes and resources, and perform related work as assigned by the director.
Examples of Work:
Process vendor invoices; monitor budget status; communicate with related government agencies; organize and prepare for regular meetings of the Nebraska Commission on Problem Gambling; organize and prepare for counselor workshops and training programs; communicate with policy makers, state accounting and budget departments.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Experience in office management, development and implementing work policies, processes and procedures, and monitoring and organizing program, administrative and technical activities OR Post high school coursework in: administration, management, accounting, finance, planning, policy analysis, administrative/management analysis, operations research, program evaluation, research, or similar fields.
PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office software; clear writing and communication skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
