The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a detailed oriented, motivated individual to work in our Operations division.
Examples of Work:
This individual will be a self-starter who will support Aid programs administered within the Department of Health and Human Services. Will assist in budget preparation, monitor expenditures against the budget, prepare monthly statistical reports and required federal reports, and respond to requests for information. Responsible for developing fiscal estimates for pending legislation and regulation changes; this includes working with large datasets to extract required information.
Hours: 8-5, Monday - Friday.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Post high school coursework/training in program evaluation, financial analysis and research techniquesANDexperience performing or leading others in program and technical support, research or statistical analysis.
PREFERRED: Bachelors degree with emphasis in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or research methods. Experience with MS Access and MS Excel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of: the techniques of program analysis and budgeting; principles and procedures of research design and analysis; statistical methods and techniques; the techniques and procedures of financial analysis; resource material concerning statistical data and collection methods; manual and automated methods for data collection and analysis. Ability to: communicate effectively to exchange factual information and research findings and conclusions; apply instructions pertinent to collection, analysis, and presentation of numerical data; identify trends and critical elements in program and demographic data; summarize program and administrative data and statistics into technical reports, and charts, graphs and tables; adapt and apply formulas to the analysis and interpretation of data; analyze and interpret numerical data, charts and tables; formulate conclusions based on data analysis; calculate solutions to mathematical problems; set personal work priorities and manage one's work time.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
