## Description
The Lincoln Journal Star is looking for a creative editor to join our fast-paced online desk to interact with readers and help create new ways for us to engage our audience. From Facebook and Twitter to polls, quizzes and chats, we want to communicate with our audience on every platform. We also want to find new ways for readers to interact with the news and other readers.
Duties will include managing our social media accounts, moderating chats, creating polls and selecting Letters to the Editor for print and online. As a member of the online desk you'll also be responsible for helping to manage the content on our family of websites. Light copy-editing may be required.
Lincoln is a growing capital city, and the Journal Star is in the middle of the action. We're just blocks from a new 15,000-seat arena and a burgeoning entertainment district with bars, restaurants and music venues. Lincoln has strong K-12 schools, a Big Ten university and cultural and recreational options.

## Qualifications
Candidates should have a degree in Journalism or related field as well as 1 to 2 years newsroom experience. Social media experience is a must, preferably managing a professional account. HTML experience is a bonus, but not required. Evening and weekend availability is a must.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
