Description Benefits Supplemental Questions
Provides a variety of program and administrative functions for the Task Force for Building Renewal, a division of Administrative Services that inspects, prioritizes, and funds state agencies'' facility deferred repair and upgrade projects on a statewide basis. In addition to supporting the division Administrator with critical research and tasks, this position will serve as a funding requests coordinator and specialist that organize and manage hundreds of requests. Will also oversee and review project financial data and payments, as well as all project correspondence, while managing the division''s file and data systems. May also supervise division staff functions, and serve as team coordinator of special projects, reports, and initiatives.
Examples of Work:
Supports Administrator with specific research and data on projects, buildings, allocations and historical funding reports, as well as legislative bill and statute research and reports, agency data and history with the Task Force; creating PowerPoint and other informational presentations; responding to Senator and public officials'' requests for information; recording and transcribing meeting notes. Directs flow of agency construction repair and upgrade project submissions, summarizes and organizes requests using Excel spreadsheets; creates inspection packets in preparation for building inspections; oversees inspection travel arrangements; performs research and writes post inspection reports; maintains extensive project database using Access software and maintains the division''s file system; works closely with agency customers on a variety of project, request, and payment issues; monitors/records and tracks allocations and allocation changes; assists the division''s professional staff with a variety of tasks, special projects, and initiatives; advises agency customers and division staff on matters pertinent to division policies and procedures; gathers background information and researches contracts; reviews and authorizes budget expenditures and project contract payments; prepares allocation documents for Governor approval. Provides back-up support to training programs.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIRED: Experience in office, administrative, technical, or support work; or in identifying budget, staff, or equipment needs; or in collecting and interpreting statistical, financial, program, or administrative data; or in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, and processes; or in reviewing and evaluating administrative records and reports; or in supervising office or technical staff. OR Post high school coursework/training in: administration, management, accounting, finance, planning, policy analysis, administrative/management analysis, operations research, program evaluation, or similar fields.
PREFERRED: Some college courses or Associates degree in Business and/or Accounting. Two years'' experience in office support with increasing responsibilities with an emphasis on managing construction project finances or performing construction procurement. Prefer minimum of 1 year of business processing, accounting and program development. Experience writing technical reports. Experience with MS Word, Excel and Access. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Customer service oriented with a minimum of 1 year experience performing customer service related duties. Minimum of 1 year experience supervising support staff preferred.

Ability to: communicate in person, and by telephone, computer, email, and correspondence to exchange information and ideas and to promote agency needs, plans, and objectives; interpret program administrative requirements, policies, regulations, and other guidelines; interact with immediate supervisor and managers/employees of the employing division, other governmental and organization representatives, and the public, to gain their cooperation and establish work relationships; conduct research activities and summarize technical data and conclusions into reports; study problem areas, analyze relevant data, and formulate alternative courses of action; interpret and apply directives and instructions pertinent to assigned work; apply management practices, theories, techniques and methodologies; learn the goals, policies, and operations of the employing division related to assigned work; learn the inter-relationships and communication channels among agency organizational units and operations and the groups served; organize and prioritize work; coordinate activities and maintain confidentiality.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
