Serve as office support and secretary to administrator, section supervisors and staff of the Vital Records Office in DHHS.
Location and address of position: Lincoln / Gold''s Building
Work schedule: 8-5 / M-F
Examples of Work:
Function as lead staff member in answer / transferring all incoming calls for the DHHS Vital Records office from the public, clients, and other State agencies. Open, sort, and review all incoming correspondence; prepare outgoing correspondence for staff members. Check assigned email and voicemail; review time sheets of staff as needed; schedule and attend meetings, take meeting notes; schedule travel plans for staff as needed. Responsible for supply ordering and maintenance of supply inventory. Prepare office reports for management.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Experience in performing office/clerical or secretarial support functions, using personal computers and associated office software such as word processing and spreadsheets.
PREFERRED: Experience in fast paced office or clinical environment handling multi-line phone system for a large staff. Bilingual in Spanish.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to generate professional correspondence. Ability to provide genuine customer service to all customers in all situations. Knowledge of state statutes, rules and regulations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
