This is a temporary position estimated to last one year.
Examples of Work:
Under general supervision, organizes and assists with planning a wide variety of agency-wide HR projects, e.g. succession planning, HR internal audits, work study programs, online just-in-time training modules on timely HR issues/topics, etc. Creates and implements evaluation tools, e.g. assessing applicant testing, retention rates and more. Assists HR Managers in researching and drafting reports/responses, e.g. correctional surveys on staffing, recruitment, etc.; NEOC, FLSA, I-9. Establishes and monitors priority projects and requests are accurate and timely. Provides technical assistance to management and staff agency-wide for such projects. Audits new or improved HR processes to ensure process is working, and if not, evaluates for modifying or stopping change. Drafts correspondence for HR Administrator and Director/Designee''s signature. Represents NDCS on State of NE projects involving HR-related issues. Manages the Agency SOS program, and places newspaper and online job ads. Explains and interprets core HR policy and procedure. Team leader for the Agency Photo ID program.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Experience in office management; or in developing and implementing work policies, processes, and procedures; or in monitoring and organizing program, administrative, or technical activities. OR Post high school coursework in: administration, management, accounting, finance, planning, policy analysis, administrative/management analysis, operations research, program evaluation, research, or similar fields.
PREFERRED: Associates degree, or higher, in business administration, office management, or related field. At least two years diverse experience in office administration, conducting research, analyzing data, preparing spreadsheets, and/or planning and organizing projects/information. Helpful to have demonstrated experience in developing and interpreting HR policy, procedures and protocols. Useful statistical reports and evaluation tools for staffing, retention, etc. Experience in creating useful statistical reports. Experience in researching and drafting written correspondence and reports with an HR perspective. Extensive, diverse experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, preferably Microsoft Office 2010. Helpful to have experience with One Note and Access, preferably Microsoft Office 2010.

Ability to problem solve. Be a solution finder. Demonstrated experience in developing spreadsheets, forms, template letters. Helpful to be proficient in Microsoft Word 2010. Ability to work under pressure, and have good interpersonal skills. Effective communication skills to organize and present material effectively, concisely and accurately. Ability to independently prioritize work, organize time, meet deadlines and multi-taskEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
