This position is a Senior Developer OCIO position that is located on the N-FOCUS development team which enhances and maintains the Department of Health and Human Services N-FOCUS (Nebraska Family Online Client User System). N-FOCUS is an integrated, multi-platform system. The N-FOCUS team works in the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln. Business and technical contract and full-time State team members are organized into teams that are involved in application development (Cobol, Web, Computer Associates (CA) GEN, AION), database administration, configuration management, project management, business requirements and testing, application and production support. This position will be a technical member of the Batch team that supports the batch COBOL mainframe portion of the application.
Examples of Work:
Under limited supervision, responsible for all phases of software development activities for Batch assignments in a large-scale IT environment using DB2. Software development activities include requirements gathering, analysis, functional and technical design, construction and testing, implementation, and production support. Team member will work closely with business analysts, other technical analysts, managers, and business sponsors.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor''s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related fieldANDtwo years of experience, education, or training in coding computer applications; programming experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
PREFERRED: Preference will be given to those candidates possessing experience working as part of a large (40+) software development team using structured procedures and guidelines; experience managing a small to medium project or components of larger project; experience with software development using COBOLII/COBOL 390 accessing DB2 databases in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment. Experience writing Stored Procedures for WEB applications and/or Crystal Report applications; experience as an applications developer working for a State Health and Human Services System; knowledge of project management tools such as Clarity or Microsoft Project, or similar products.
OTHER: At least 3 years full lifecycle software development experience. Software development experience must be current (within the last year) and must be in support of a large-scale, complex application system. At least 3 years of experience with DB2 relational databases, including logical design, understanding of physical design components, and complex SQL accessing a large, complex application database. Experience in assessing application performance issues, identifying efficient solutions to address performance issues, and the ability to tune database access paths related to a complex data model. All experience must be current within the last year. Experience with the following development / testing tools: TSO, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, QMF, Xpediter, Visio, and SharePoint. Must have good overall PC skills including the use of Microsoft Office products. Working knowledge of Crystal Reports software. Working knowledge of StyleVision software.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
