This position is responsible for the maintenance and supervision of telecommunications services and facilities throughout the State telecommunications network. This position is also responsible for the purchase, lease and use of voice and wireless services and equipment on a Statewide basis.
Examples of Work:
On a daily basis, this position will assist/advise State agencies and political subdivisions by reviewing, defining, analyzing and designing their telecommunications needs to make informed decisions regarding voice and wireless services and equipment. They will work as a project team member or act as agency liaison on complex telecommunications forecasting design and implementation of system and major projects; and places orders with vendors for equipment, wireless, local and long distance service. Additionally they will assist and direct service providers to assure timely resolution of system or service malfunctions. This position will also coordinate directly with the business section of the Division to assure that facilities and services ordered and installed will be properly accounted for and billed. Vendor equipment literature and marketing materials will be reviewed and recommendations will be made to agency management. At times this position will require the physical installation, removal or troubleshooting of equipment. This necessitates the candidate have the ability to work with hand tools, electronic test equipment, and the ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Associates or similar two-year technical degree in communications/electronic equipment or related discipline of study OR equivalent work experience (3 years) using, maintaining, repairing, modifying, and testing communications/electronic equipment.
PREFERRED: Additional technical training provided by equipment manufacturers and/or certifications demonstrating completion is desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
